Where You Might Have First Seen Him:

In a supporting role in Stardust directed by Matthew Vaughn and starring Charlie Cox and Claire Danes. Barnes plays the younger version of Nathaniel Parker's character, Dunstan.

Role That Got Him Noticed:

A starring part in 2008's The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, the second film of the Narnia series.

Something You May Not Know About Ben Barnes:

Barnes exaggerated his ability to ride a horse in order to score the lead role in Prince Caspian.

And He Can Sing, Too...:

Barnes grew up in London and graduated from Kingston University with a degree in Drama and English. A member of the National Youth Music Theatre (he made his debut at the age of 15 in The Ballad of Salomon Pavey), Barnes picked up paid acting jobs on TV (Liquid News, Making Up Your Mind) before starring onstage as Dakin in The History Boys. It was his stage work that drew the attention of the Narnia people and after a very brief audition process, Barnes was signed on to the lead role in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian as well as the next film in the Narnia line, The Voyage of the Dawn Trader.

Barnes' non-Narnia projects include a starring role in Easy Virtue with Jessica Biel and Colin Firth, and Bigga Than Ben opposite Andrei Chadov.
