Nicolas Cage, Penelope Cruz, John Hurt, and David Morrissey and director, John Madden, joined special invited guests for the U.S. Premiere of "Captain Corelli's Mandolin." Special guests included Tom Cruise, Cary Elwes, Lisa Marie, James Coburn, Susanna Hoffs, Juliette Lewis, and Johnny Ramone.

"Captain Corelli's Mandolin" is rated R for some violence, sexuality and language. "Captain Corelli's Mandolin" hit theatres throughout the U.S. on August 17, 2001.
