Among the artists offering previously unreleased tracks are Fluke, Juno Reactor, Paul Oakenfold and Team Sleep (the side band of Deftones leader Chino Moreno). "Session," an instrumental from Linkin Park's already platinum-plus Meteora, also appears on the album, as well as songs previously available from Rage Against the Machine and Maverick's Unloco. Rounding out the soundtrack is the now-much publicized Paul Oakenfold remix of the Dave Matthews Band song "When The World Ends," the remix is a version of the ballad from Matthews' 2001 Everyday album. The song was pulled almost two years ago out of respect of the events of September 11. The thought then, was that the title could be misinterpreted ... no sense of that happening here, and now, within the Matrix.
As an added bonus, the album package contains a second disc featuring the film's score composed by Don Davis as well as additional tracks by Juno Reactor and Rob Dougan.
Clearly the centerpiece to this amazing collection is the music, but as any "Matrix" fan will tell you, there is much more to the world of the Matrix. The same holds true to "Matrix Reloaded: The Album." The first disc will have numerous enhanced features for the "Matrix" junkie. Included in the enhancements is access to "The Matrix Reloaded" trailer as well as exclusive previews of the animated spin-off "Animatrix." Additionally, courtesy of Infogrames is behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the "Enter The Matrix" video game and an exclusive cheat code.
